Before
After
This wall is located at the end of the K-400 building near the stairs leading down to the MV modules at San Diego Mesa College. The reason I choose this spot was because it is visible to people that walk by it every day. I chose the picture of recycled thoughts of being happy. This image came from reading about ancient folk Chinese philosophy and views of happiness in their culture. They say the people who have lived to be over 100 years old lived a life of happiness and positivity. It's always easier to tell people to forget the negativity and live positive but honestly, it's hard to live by your own advice. I felt this picture would be a good reminder to people to live life by their own choice and forget the worries. Now days, I kind of forget about my worries and my struggles and I have noticed that it has made many of my days better. If you can change it, change it. If you can't, oh well move on. My message here is to just be happy.
-Shawnice Rozier

You are right, we have to forget about negativity and accentuate the positive. People walking by this wall will certainly be reminded of it.

I love the message you are giving here. I feel like people will definitely stop and take time to read this and will be very interested in what it says. I would like for it to be more colorful and bright, but green does give a sense of well being, so it is very appropriate. Well done! -Abigail Argonza
ReplyDeleteIt's a fun, playful design that will certainly get people to pause and chuckle. -- John Zeller
ReplyDeletePositive people are the best! Good job on encouraging people to stay positive. I'm sure they will do so with the help of your mural. Walking by and having reminders painted on the wall could really help some students and brighten their day. Good job!

In today's society it is sometimes hard to just be happy. I think you proposal is cool and thoughtful. Being happy after all is a state of mind. We all deserve to be happy. Good job.-Tim Pipes
ReplyDeleteI think this a good concept of a mural idea, and i like your use of the little playful diagram. However i think this image could use a little tweaking. I think the use of the Vanishing Point with the text body to the right could be improved. Just some minor retouching.

I like the concept of using a flowchart to convey your idea. It took my eye a while to find the origin of the chart. Some artisitic additions would make it seem more than a flow chart.

The use of a flowchart is great for this message and I love the message. I think this might be my favorite for the message it presents students and staff. It's simple and different. good work! -Va merritt
