Before After
Inspired by the mural art at http://arrestedmotion.com/2012/03/london-largest-mural-by-agents-of-change/
, Streets: London’s largest mural by Agents of Change. I liked the
creative use of vibrant colors and the number of insets and outsets.
Unlike the mural in London I chose to use actual images instead of
modern art but the use of colors and scale were my inspiration. I chose
the large flat wall because it offered a challenge to get my image to
wrap the offset wall. I chose an image of a bouquet of flowers as the
mural because Mesa College has a lack of color. I feel this mural turns a
simple grey wall into a brilliantly colored piece of art. -Chris Boyer

This is really beautiful! I can definitely tell that you gathered inspiration from Agents of Change. Great job!! -Abigail Argozna
ReplyDeleteA nice add of color to an otherwise dreary building! Nice picture and placement. Also a good idea to use flowers which add a natural beauty to the wall. Thanks Chris.

The image of the flowers adds a nice touch of color to this rather drab building. Looking at this image on the building will make someone's day a pleasant one. Good use of vanishing point.

That is a really nice, colorful image the will counteract the dull drabness of the grey concrete. I'm really impressed that you were able to get the image to "fold" so well/--John Zeller
ReplyDeleteNice mural, very creative.

I think the bright colors in your image do a great job of reflecting the influence of the Agents of Change Mural.

Great use of vibrant colors. The image is well-scaled to the structure. For some reason there seems to be, for lack of a better word, a "thickness" to the paint layer. Might just be my eyes playing tricks on me.

Way to go. This campus needs some livening up,you achieved your goal of turning plain concrete into something cool.-Tim Pipes
ReplyDeleteReally gorgeous! I would love seeing this on campus. My only issue is it doesn't go to the bottom; I want more! :) Great work here! I love all the colors. - va merritt
