My proposal is to project an image, on the campus wall, that displays the importance of education. I believe education is an avenue that can bring about change in a person’s life. Sometimes people are constrained by circumstances that are beyond their control and I feel education can lift individuals out of these constraints. Through education one can set goals for their life and think of different life possibilities once they obtain an education. With my wall I attempted to exhibit freedom through education. I blended the education text layer so that it looked like it was part of the wall and blended the “Fly like a bird” to look like it pops out from the wall. My thoughts are that the mural may give individuals inspiration as they walk by.

    Eileen,
    A nice choice on the picture, the expression of "flying" for education, a great sentiment. I would do a quick adjust on the layers panel with the opacity slider and reduce the opacity a little so it blends into the wall some more :>)

      Thank you Russ for your suggestion. This was difficult for me because of my inexperience but I loved learning about Photo Shop. On review of my work I think I got a little carried away and should have kept it simple. I am going to attempt redoing it.

    I think you have a good idea, however I think your picture of the mural would benefit from reducing the opacity and having the letters as well as the photo itself move along the wall rather than just be stretched across. Other than that it's very creative. Good job.

    I love the theme that you chose here, when I was younger I never realized what a good education would do for me. It's great to have that kind of reminder around so people will think about it every day when they see this. -Abigail Argonza

    The image of the sunset fits well onto this wall. The image would have looked much better if you had lowered the opacity considerably lower. You are try to raise the awareness of education, unfortunately the font selected for your text is not very legible.

    The image and message work well for Mesa College. One suggestion I would make is to have the "Fly Like a Bird" angled away from the ground and toward the sky. Having it hit the ground kind of works against the message. -- John Zeller

    I love the graphic and the choice of colors. Text should flow with the image however. Adjustment to opacity would have made it seem more realistic.

    I would really enjoy seeing this on campus. It offers a break from the "school space. I think that's what I really like about this piece. You are melding education and encouragement with a beautiful scene of relaxing and reflecting. nice work! -Va merritt
