My photo art
is a proposal to add a more attractive look to the outside of the school’s
coffee shop. Our coffee shop is
currently located inside the school’s library. Right now this cozy place
doesn’t feel like the location where students would go and have a cup of their
favorite drink and hit the books. Many students are not even aware there is a
coffee shop in our school at all (aside from the cafeteria). Plenty of people
might not necessarily agree that this is the place to add a little creative
touch, but I truly believe they are wrong. There are hundreds of coffee shops
in the San Diego area, where students not only spend endless hours studying,
relaxing, and meeting their classmates, but most important, they are spending
money. Making the school’s coffee shop a more artistic environment, I believe
it will attract more students to spend time at the library’s coffee shop,
hopefully increasing the money spent, which would mean more revenue for the
school. Please consider the art I submitted. - Claudia Munoz

Looks nice Claudia, I can see the opacity on the area under the coffee cup showing the texture o the wall. Might need a little more opacity or brightness subdued on the area above the cup? I love the idea of having another coffee shop besides the library or at least advertising the one that is there; you are right, it just doesn't have the feel of a coffee shop.

I like the idea of attracting students to spend their time and money in the college coffee shop. Opacity is great on the wall but you give some color and vibrancy behind the coffee cup. Makes a person want to see what is going on there. Clarity and opacity is good in some spots but too much sometimes makes the scene look dull and uninteresting. Your wall inspires me to go in and buy some coffee. Great work.

I like everything about your mural. I think you did a great job and chose a really good photo to represent the coffee shop. It's very classy and colorful. Students drink lots of coffee to stay awake for class, so this mural would make a great diplay for them when they stop by to grab a cup of coffee!

I love coffee, I drink it every morning. I am sure that if I was walking around campus and saw this, I would have to stop by and buy a cup. I love it! -Abigail Argonza

ReplyDeleteWho doesn't love a nice big cup of Joe? This inspires me to want to drink a hot beverage. Like it! -Chris Boyer
ReplyDeleteThe image blends well into the building, but you could have lowered the opacity and centered the image on the wall. The image of the coffee cup will certainly draw many students into the coffee shop for a cup of Joe.

This is great! Not only is it visually attractive but it works well as a "sign" that anyone can understand. -- John Zeller

This is a great mural, it looks like you took a picture and pasted it on the building. Great job!

I like the graphic and the simple lettering. Lettering is well-placed. Might have been better to choose a graphic with closer proportions to wall, as coffee cup seems stretched.

I agree.Your idea of creating a hang-out more advantageous and appealing is a great idea and a way to liven up a area we all need to spend more time in.If Mesa can attract studying students and make money at the same time then why not. Looks good.-Tim Pipes
ReplyDeleteI think this is great! It encourages students to stay on campus and creates a safe spot for studying students! I also really like the graphic and lettering. Nice work here and great thinking!- Va merritt
ReplyDeleteI like the coffee shop in the school's library and I like the cup in that mural because it reminds me of Starbucks.
